Top Secret: American Chess Table- Gluing the table pieces together

After the crucial dry fitting was complete, it was time to start gluing the pieces together and moving towards getting the drawer and fronts together.  We glued the legs together in two different steps.  We glued the side rails into a set of legs, clamped them and let them dry.  When they were dry, we took the drawer sides and glued them into the already glued side rail pairs.

After the side rails were dry, we proceeded with gluing up the drawer front sides (gluing 4 sides is very challenging…it helps to have 4 hands!)

Up next is creating the drawer sides, prepping the drawer fronts and gluing the drawer together.
